Our Field Training - Sand Express is not a tour, nor is it a training like the ones we give at our EnduroCamp, or even a package adventure like the tours we all know.
Our Field Training - Sand Express is a way for those that want to dive into sandy tracks to be able to learn how to swim before diving into deep waters.
We will give you all the tools you require to conquer many different types of sand with knowledge and skill, instead of the brute force technique.
With this in mind, the Field Training - Sand Express is aimed at any rider that wishes to improve or learn from scratch sand riding techniques.
How does Field Training work, and what is its goal?
If you take your safety seriously, you know that getting some tips online, and adventuring yourself onto sandy tracks is not a great idea, making it a recipe that scares many for life in these kinds of environments.
With this in mind, we created the Field Training - Sand Express, where you will be taught the basics needed to master the techniques that will allow you to tackle sand with know-how, and precision.
The plan is to do specific theoretical and practical drills on hard-pack during the first day, and on the second, equipped with the basic knowledge you need, we will spend 100% of our time on sandy tracks that will include everything from uphills to downhills, to circular tracks.
Of course, and since we will be in Portugal, in the region of the Ribatejo, we will make sure to show you some great foods, drinks, views, and of course, all the bike talk you can handle.
If you are a complete beginner, and this will be the first professional training of your life, we also have the option of you booking a 3-day Sand Express, where on the first, we will cover body positioning and basic off-road movements, to help you take even more out of your Sand Express training.
Do you have motorcycles to rent for the Field Training?
Although we believe you should always train with your own bike, in this special training session we will have several types of bikes available for rent.
Information regarding values and specific bikes can be shared via email.
Limited enrollment
Entries are limited to 15 participants, and the minimum for the Field Training - Sand Express to take place is 7 adventurers. So, invite your friends and guarantee your place.

Field Trainings is not a tour; it is a training that encompass an adventure and a personal challenge, done with an extra safety net given by our instructors. As such, and with us being a training program and not a tourism operator or agency, we cannot legally create an all-included package.
Dates and program:
The Field Training lasts for 2 days, going from Saturday to Sunday, and starting officially with the meet and greet dinner the night before the training starts, on Friday.
As an overall schedule:
- Meet and greet dinner on Friday night in Santarém
- Saturday at 09:00 we start with a general briefing and first theoretical and practical drills that we will continue until around 16:00
- On Sunday, we will dive deep into the sandy tracks at 09:00, and will spend our day tunning your sand riding skills until around 16:00, when we will finish with farewell drinks

Classification:
Due to the specificity of this training, we are marking it Class 5 terrains, since it will have one full day of sand tracks, but, as in all our training sessions, nothing is mandatory, so not only will we help you every step of the way, you are always allowed to sit some exercises out.
Field Training - Sand Express is aimed at any rider that wishes to improve or learn from scratch sand riding techniques.

Languages:
There is nothing worse than having a class to learn something, just to realize you and your instructor cannot understand each other. We know, we have been there, both as instructors and students.
With this in mind, we decided to stick to what we know best, so our classes are hosted in both Portuguese and/or English.
Conditions:
Everything has rules, and our training sessions are no different, so let's go over what you need to know to attend this training.
- At least a 50-50 tire, designated as such by its respective manufacturer (recommend)
- An integral helmet that is not modular
- Protective gloves
- A suit or assorted protective gear capable of protecting your back, upper and lower limbs
- A mid-calf or full-calf boot, preferably, off-road biased
If you have any doubts about the gear or tires, let us know before you sign up for the class, as our instructors and guides have the right to refuse your participation in any of our activities, without reimbursement, if you do not present yourself with the minimum required safety gear.
Field Training is an on-job training, so although we will make regular fuel stops, it is your responsibility to arrive with a full tank, or enough for at least 100kms (60miles) before the start of the training.

Payment, cancelation, and refunds:
The following are the specific rules for this training. Any omission will be covered by BN’s general refund policy.
Important Note: Customers have the legal right to withdraw from their booking within 14 days from the date the booking is manually confirmed by our team (after the confirmation call), in accordance with European Union law.
During this 14-day period, no cancellation fees will be applied. After this period has expired, the cancellation conditions described below will apply, calculated based on the training date.
The requirement to make full payment at least 7 days before the training does not override the legal 14-day right of withdrawal.
Payment Bookings are only possible with full payment.
Full payment must be completed at least 7 days before the start of the training. No training will take place without full payment having been completed, and cash payments at the training location are not accepted.
Payment Delay: If payment is not completed by the indicated deadline, BN will no longer guarantee the reserved spot and reserves the right to cancel the booking.
Cancellation by BN If BN cancels the training, all participants will be refunded the full amount paid up to the moment of cancellation.
BN may cancel any training up to 10 days before the start date in case of an insufficient number of participants. In such cases, participants will be notified immediately, and all payments will be fully refunded.
BN reserves the right to cancel or interrupt any training if, for any reason, the safety or comfort of the participants cannot be guaranteed, including in cases of force majeure such as riots, floods, earthquakes, etc. In the event of cancellation for safety or comfort reasons, no refund will be issued, but BN will offer one alternative date only to complete the remaining part of the training. BN will not be liable for any hotel or other expenses resulting from such a cancellation.
Cancellation by the Participant If cancellation is received more than 10 days before the training: the participant must pay a cancellation fee of €10.
If cancellation is received between 10 and 3 days before the training: the participant must pay 50% of the total training fee as a cancellation fee.
If cancellation is received less than 3 days before the training: no refund will be issued, and the participant must pay the full amount of the training.
Rescheduling and Validity Clients who cancel the training before any cancellation fee is applied are entitled to one single rescheduling, provided the new date is booked within 6 months from the original training date.
Travel Insurance We strongly recommend that participants subscribe to travel insurance that covers the costs of a possible cancellation of any training.
One and-one-only rescheduled date for an Express Training will be given to any client that withdraws themselves from an already paid Field Training, before cancelation fees are applied. Any rescheduled date must be within 6 months of the original training date, and no price adjustment will be made between the Field Training value and the Express Training value or any other training.
